I went to Los Angeles Bigest Business Networking Event last week at the Shrine Auditorium. Big Mixers are just like Knott’s Bery Farm for moi! Not only did I run into some of my friends from online but I met a WHOLE bunch of recent , and found some new networking groups for Networking Event Finders.com. Be that as it may a funny thing occured on the way to the car I parked my car at the very top of the parking structure (got a wonderful snapshot of the LA sunset) and at the end of the expo, when a large group of us got on the elevator what do you think occured? As The Govenator puts it, the “Good, Bad & the Ugly” of the California budget issue has been resolved and it seems like massive cutbacks can be likelyhere. The “trickle-down economics” of that means is your business networking mixers are going to have visits from additional people looking for jobs, pink “slip mixers” and career expos than ever before (assuming there are still companies hiring). In emails I’ve had with networking event hosts across the country, they tell me that they are all seeing a up stat in the quantity of people who attend who list themselves as “In Transition”.
